The latest news is Wainwright is injured and may be headed for Tommy John Surgery. John Mozeliak has already told the press that it's believed the injury is "significant" and Tommy John surgery would result in Wainwright missing the entire 2011 season.
Going back to January 29 and my SP Rankings I had this to say about Wainwright. Though some of you have already drafted, let this be lesson learned to draft as late as possible during spring training. Look for the Cardinals to now go after Kevin Millwood or even contact Pedro Martinez. The Cardinals due have prospect Shelby Miller in their system graded out as a possible front line starter.
