Dual Eligibility At Pitcher

As many drafts start this week another useful tool to have in your tool box is the ability to know all Dual Eligibility pitchers for 2012. Of the 27 that qualify in most leagues some will be starters, some will battle for a starting position and the rest will be delegated back to the bullpen. At the end of this list are the RPs that will start the season in their teams rotation. They will gain SP eligibility once the season starts. The best part about dual eligibility is the flexibility you gain. What’s nicer than having a SP fit nicely in to the RP spot, especially on 2 start weeks?  The first tier of pitchers will all have rotation spots to start the season. The next tier stating with Swarzak has at least one competitor to battle with for the 5th rotation spot. The next tier beginning with Russell will all be delegated to the bullpen to start the season. They have little to no use for fantasy purposes unless you are in the deepest of leagues or they cling to some value in Holds leagues. The last tier is all RP only eligible pitchers who will start the season in the rotation. In most leagues only 3 starts qualifies for SP status.
